…preach Unity, peace
The Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye lll, has affirmed the need to maintain unity and peace between Owo and Uso in order to allow more development to take place in the local government.
Similarly, the Chairman of Owo local government Hon. Samuel Adegbegi enjoined the people of Uso to forget what had happened in the past and focus on the present history of political development and social cohesion.
These submissions were made at this year’s Uso Day celebration which came to an end on Saturday at Uso.
Oba Ogunoye who said his reign would ushered in enormous developments in the L.G, called for adequate understanding and participation of all stakeholders to make the task of building the state together a reality.
The royal father praised the people of Uso especially the Kabiyesi Oloba of Uso for organizing a well deserved Uso Day celebration.
Hon. Adegbegi noted that the L.G would always strived hard to ensure equal distribution of developmental projects across the town’s and villages in the council area, also preached peace and forgiveness to enhance adequate spread of the dividends of democracy.




In his own remarks, the Oloba of Uso, Oba Ademola Adebiyi Oyinbade, Olanipekun lll, expressed deep appreciation to the dignitaries that graced the occasion.
Oba Oyinbade pointed out that the Commissioning of the 1965 Park was done to remember some members of the community who fell during the political crisis in November 6th,1965 at Uso, noting that the gesture would make their families to have a sense of belonging in the community.
Dignitaries in attendance were traditional rulers from across Ondo State including the Deji of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo represented by Edemo of Akure, High Chief Afolabi Fayeun, Onikun of Ikun Ekiti, Olubaka of Oka-Akoko, Oba Adebori Adeleye; the Owa-Ale of Ikare-Akoko, Oba Adeleke Adegbite-Adedoyin; Amapetu of Mahin Kingdom, Oloba of Oba-ile, Oba Agunbiade Oluwadare, High chief Odopetu of Ayede-Ogbese, chief Dimeji Abitogun.
