There is a palpable tension in Akure metropolis over the alleged killing of three people in an accident and by stray bullet of a police office; SUNSHINETRUTH can report.
It was gathered that a police officer attached to a filling station along Arakale road in the Ondo state capital has allegedly shot one okada rider to death.
The officer was said to have shot the person while trying to disperse people from the scene of a motor accident which had already killed another okada rider and a passenger on the road.
As at the time of filing this report, the Arakale road is blocked with vehicles while okada riders are protesting at the A’Division police station where the police man allegedly sought safety.
The protesters have chased policemen from the station and they have all run from the station.
