What Aketi’s govt plans for LG pensioners, retired teachers —Bunmi Eniayewu

The Ondo State Local Government Pension Board Permanent Secretary, Chief (Dr.) Eniayewu Olubunmi, on Easter Monday 5th April, 2021, organized an interactive session between Owo/Ose transitional Department Pensioners, Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), and the Local Government Council Worker’s.

The interactive session meeting, which has in attendance, the Executive Chairman Owo Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Samuel Olabade Adegbegi, The Secretary To The Local Government, Hon.(Pastor) Taye Babatunde Adako, The National Vice President of NULGE, South West Zone, Comrade Abimbola Samuel Babalola J.P, The Wife of the host Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Eniayewu, The Treasurer to the Local Government Pension Board, Mr. Adesoji T.T, The Deputy Leader of Legislative Arms of Owo Local Government, Hon. Adetula Babatunde, and many others.

In his welcome address, the host Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Local Government Pension Board, Chief (Dr.) Olubunmi Eniayewu, said the interactive meeting session became important as way of making the transitional department of the local government Pensioners, the Council workers, and the NUT teachers, to understand some issues that has to do with the local government financial status, and related issues concerning their welfare in the local government system.

Dr. Eniayewu, noted that, there is need for every Pensioners in the State, most especially those in the local government service to understand the fact that, the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, does not put his hands in the local government Account, saying, the financial decision on the payment of Salary, Pensioners and gratuity, even with the percentage being paid, was the part of decision being taken at the JACC, and with the available of financial resources from the federation account.

He, however, appealed to the local government Pensioners, the teachers, and the Council worker’s to continue exercising patient and for them to also continue praying for financial improvement in the local government Service.

In his own words at the interactive session meeting, the Executive Chairman Owo Local Government, Hon. Chief Samuel Olabade Adegbegi, said he was happy to identified with the local government Pensioners, and the workers, at the interactive session, he, therefore, commended Chief (Dr.) Olubunmi Eniayewu for making the local government Pensioners and the Council workers to know some issues related to the financial status of the Council.

Meanwhile, there are questions raised and put before the Permanent Secretary, Chief (Dr.) Bumi Eniayewu, by the pensioners, the local government workers and the NUT, the different issues concerning their entitlement, and gratuity, where, he promised them, a better day ahead of Governor Akeredolu led government in Ondo.
