Some dear devil Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers this evening ambushed bank officials and security agents and attacked a bullion van along Ondo/Akure road in Ondo state.
SUNSHINETRUTH learnt that the incident occurred at Bolorunduro area of Ondo East Local government Area.
The attack, it was gathered lasted for several minutes until the robbers accomplished their mission and fled from the scene.
Witnesses said the robbers succeeded in carting away all the money in the bullion van, while two persons were reportedly killed in the process.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations officer of the Ondo state police command, Tee-Leo Ikoro said the bullion van was conveying money from Ondo town to Akure.
Ikoro said the robbers succeeded in overpowering the security personnel escorting the Van.
The PPRO who said the robbers escaped with a Lexus SUV, however added that no life was lost in the incident.
He assured that the police is already on the trail of the Robbers.
