Eid-el-Fitri: Ondo APC celebrates with Muslims

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has congratulated the Muslim faithful, particularly in the State, on the successful completion of Ramadan, and the joyous celebrations of Eid-el-Fitri.

In a statement by the chapter’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Alex Kalejaye, the party said it took lots of sacrifice, self-control, and determination to ignore personal pleasures for spiritual purposes.

The APC urged all Muslim faithful, and indeed, Nigerians to celebrate with full consciousness of the prevailing situation in the land.

“In our sober reflections, we should pray for security, peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, and progress of the nation,” Kalejaye stressed.

He added: “It is our hope and prayer that Ramadan’s spiritual lessons and the Holy Prophet’s teachings of piety, love, justice, fairness, equity, tolerance, honesty, and dedication to duty will remain with us all.”

He observed that the country is passing through a tense phase in its development, particularly with regards to security challenge, and the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic that has caused much destruction in countries like India and Brazil, and called for greater understanding on the part of the citizens.

While wishing them a joyous celebration, the party appealed to Muslim faithful and all celebrating with them to exhibit regards to the curfew and Covid-19 protocols, as spelt out by the government, to avoid destructive dimension.

Ondo PDP Greets Muslim Faithfuls On Eid-el-Fitri

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State rejoices with the Muslim faithfuls on this year’s celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.

Our Muslim brothers and sisters should reflect on their lifestyles, virtues of piety, compassion, forgiveness and act of giving learnt during the Ramadan period.

The party notes that there might be so many people who did not observe the program because they felt the period was a little bit long and today those who went into the spiritual exercise are now coming out stronger and more fulfilled.

“The lesson to draw here is that no matter how rough and tough the situation may look, we must be strongly determined to achieve our set goals.

“Our party therefore encourages all the good people of Ondo State to exhibit strong determination and unshaken faith in God, that Ondo State will surely come out of these tough and rough times to regain its pride as a State where people’s welfare and security shall be the primary purpose of governance and where dignity of persons, irrespective of their status shall reign supreme.

Happy Eid-el- Fitri.

Leye Igbabo,
Director of Media and Publicity, PDP Ondo State.
