An Assistant Inspector General of Police In Kenya, William Sing’oei has been found dead in his house at Embakasi Military Barracks.
Nairobi Regional Police Commander, Augustine Nthumbi confirmed the incident.
Mr Ntumbi said the Assistant IG was out of reach for days and his juniors had been trying to reach him on phone since Tuesday but had been unsuccessful.
He was found dead on Wednesday May 12,2021.
They broke the door of his house and found his lifeless body on the bed. The cause of death was not immediately established but investigations are ongoing.
Police said a post-mortem would be conducted to give a clue on the cause of his death.
His body has however been taken to the mortuary pending burial arrangements.
