After Akeredolu’s truce, Ikare Imam leads Jumat prayer at central mosque

After two weeks of closure, Ikare Akoko Central mosque has been reopened for jumat prayer after the intervention of the Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who settled the crisis rocking the Muslim community.

To this end, the Chief Imam of Ikare Akoko, Sheikh Abbas Abubakar led a jumat service today with various quarters Imams and Muslim faithful in attendance in their large number.

Shiekh Abubakar in a sermon, prayed for peaceful coexistence in Ikare Akoko, Ondo state and the country at large as well as the traditional rulers in the town.

The Ikare Chief Imam called on Muslims leaders and faithful to always shun ungodly acts and follow the commandments of Allah and the teachings of Prophet Muhammed in all their dealings.

Shiekh Abubakar emphasized that following Allah and His Prophet in all their dealings would always foster peace among Muslim Ummah and save them from His punishments.

He commended the state government and Governor Akeredolu for settling differences among Ikare Muslim community, playing Allah to continue to uphold him and his government.
