Security: Our 2,000 officers ready to partner Army in Ondo —MAN O’WAR

The MAN O’ WAR Nigeria, has expressed its readiness towards partnering with Nigerian Army in the areas of national interest in order to fight crimes in the country.

The Ondo state Commander of the paramilitary organization, Adedayo Adeniyan, who gave the disclosure on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the Brigade Commander of 32 Artillery Brigade Akure, Ondo state, said the organisation was gallantly ready to be coopt into all services of Nigerian Army most especially in fighting crimes.

According to him, “We have over 2000 personnel ready to work with you across the 18 Local Government areas of Ondo State in curbing crimes in our society.”

Adeniyan posited that the national insecurity had been a major menace militating against the development of Nigeria, saying the issue of Boko-Haram, banditry, herdsmen clashed with farmers, kidnapping, child trafficking, cyber crime-Yahoo-yahoo, drug abuse, rapping and sexual harassment, political unrest, and other social vices most of which are rampant among Nigerian Youths.

He said, “with the current reformation and re-organization of Man O’ War in Nigeria to meet the global standards, this current leadership of Man O’ War in Ondo State came on board some years ago and the Ondo State command have trained over 600 members in various capacity leadership, physical training and vocational training for self reliance.”

While appreciating the service to humanity of the command leadership, the Man O’War boss, however, pledged their loyalty to assist in providing useful information that will aid effectiveness of the command activities.

“We are prepared to collaborate with you in the area of giving you adequate information when the need arises. We would also appreciate it, if you use your good office in making your personnel available during our forthcoming proposed workshop/endurance trek to retrain our officers for this great task,” Adeniyan said.

In his response, the brigade Commander, Brigadier General Yakubu Yahaya thanked the Man ‘O’ War under the leadership of Commander Adedayo Adeniyan for the visit and the honour of decorating him with 2021 PEACE ICON . He , therefore plegded its command’s support and cooperation with the service at all times.

The train of the team also paid a visit to the General Manager of Ondo State Rural Water Supply Sanitation Agency(ODRUWASSA) Engr. Rotimi Oladimeji
