Akure Bye-Election primary: Ajipe hails Akeredolu, congratulates Alade

AKURE BYE ELECTION: WE HAVE AKETI TO THANK FOR SETTING THE PACE- AJIPE

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ondo state, Chief Dr Alex Ajipe has hailed the governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for been a true democrat for not supporting any aspirants in the just concluded Akure Bye Election primary of APC

Ajipe who is also the Convener of Ibi Giga Ambassadors, a political group, said that the successful outcome of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election for Akure Federal constituency is an indication of what will happen during the general election next year.

In a statement issued by his media Aide, Solomon Adewoye in Akure, Ajipe also urged politicians to start raising their act by copying the leadership of governor Akeredolu .

Governor Akeredolu had earlier before the primary election yesterday assured delegates participating in the primary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, that he has no preferred candidate among the aspirants jostling for the party’s ticket for the Akure Federal Constituency bye-election.

Akeredolu, who declared that he does not support anybody in the primary election, encouraged all delegates to vote according to their conscience.

The governor addressed the delegates at the Gani Fawehinmi Arcade, Akure, alongside aspirants and members of the election committee led by the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke

Ajipe said “The primary election has come and gone and the winner has emerged but we need to appreciate our “Mr Talk and Do” Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for been a true and genuine democrat by not supporting any aspirants”

“Akeredolu has displayed a political will by given chance to all aspirants without any intimidation or harassment from any quarter. He has once again proved to us that election in Nigeria particularly in Ondo state should not be a do or die affairs”

“Akure bye election is not about old or young, it’s about a Governor that ignore all pressures to hold on to Democratic norms and ensure a level playing ground for all aspirants.
We have Aketi to thank for setting the pace”

“The governor’s integrity as a democrat made the difference in Akure House of Representatives Apc primary. The main election is a must win for the APC”. He said

Going forward, Ajipe urged the APC-led government at the federal and state level to, in words and actions, promote and consolidate on the gains of democratic governance in the country “with a view to entrenching its finest ideals on our body polity, while calling on all well-meaning Nigerians to imbibe this spirit in the overall interest of our beloved country.”

He however advised other aspirants to join hands together with the candidate and the party to win Akure back for APC .

Feb 26th is a must win for the APC If we still have a future together. Therefore, we must all come together to support our candidate to win the election. Ajipe said

Ajipe also congratulates the winner of the primary, Otunba Mayokun Alade Lawson and advised him to work with other aspirants.
