Akure Bye-Election: Akeredolu Congratulates Alade, APC Over Victory

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, has congratulated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Akure South/North Federal Constituency Bye-Election, Otunba Mayokun Lawson Alade over his victory at the election.

Governor Akeredolu also congratulated the APC for the good performance at the poll. He added that the victory has further confirmed that Ondo is an APC state.

“I want to commend the people of Akure South/North Federal constituency for the peaceful conduct during yesterday’s election. The people voted the candidate of their choice without violence and rancor

“The beauty of democracy is what we have seen. Elections are put in place to reflect the wishes and aspirations of the people. Yesterday, the people of Akure South/North Federal constituency trooped out and spoke with their votes.

“The fact that the election was peaceful, free and fair justifies our penchant for peace in the sunshine state. I congratulate our people in Akure South/North for the impressive outing.” He said.

The Governor, while also saluting the APC members for working assiduously for the party, described the victory as well deserved.

“I urge the winner to be magnanimous in victory and reach to all co-contestants in the interest of the federal constituency. Election is over, it is now time to drive development that will benefit the people, put smile on their faces and engender good governance.

“Once again, I congratulate the winner, Otunba Mayokun Lawson Alade, our party, the APC , and the good people of Akure South/North federal constituency.”

Hon Makinde Congratulates Akure MHR-elect, Otunba Lawson-Alade Mayokun.

Hon Abiola Makinde, Honorable Member of the House of Representatives, representing the good people of Ondo East and West Federal Constituency has sent congratulatory message to Otunba Lawson-Alade Mayokun, MHR-elect of Akure North and South Federal Constituency.

In a message released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon Makinde congratulated the new Member of the House of Representatives and urged him to reward the faith that the Akure people have reposed in him.

“I congratulate Otunba Lawson-Alade Mayokun LAF on his victory at the recently concluded election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC as no one wins without steadfastness in the face of adversity”

“I congratulate the Akure people as well and it is my fervent belief that LAF would make them proud and reward their overwhelming show of support and solidarity for his new designation as their MHR. Congratulations again”

Deputy-Chairman House Committee on Federal Character also used the medium to commend His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR for assenting to the Electoral Bill which has now become law, as it would further strengthen our democracy and position the country for smooth electioneering process in 2023.

AKURE BYE ELECTION: APC CHIEFTAIN, ALEX AJIPE CONGRATULATES LAWSON ALADE

The Convener of Ibi Giga Ambassadors, Chief Dr. Alex Ajipe has congratulated APC Candidate Mayokun Lawson Alade on his electoral victory in the just concluded Akure federal constituency bye election.

Ajipe in his congratulatory message by his media Aide, Solomon Adewoye described Alade’s victory as “a righteous expression of the democratic ideal. It represents a personal victory for him and for all the people of Akure and all those across the country who believe in the promise of a genuinely representative democracy built on the foundations of the rule of law and respect for the popular will.”

He noted that: “The election has been generally acclaimed to be peaceful, orderly and transparent. The people of Akure have made their choice in a very clear and unambiguous manner.”

Ajipe urged Alade to see his victory as an opportunity to impact positively on the lives of his constituents through quality representation.

He expressed joy that despite the hot verbal exchanges that preceded the election, both the candidates and their supporters still ensured that there was no breakdown of law and order which gave room for the emergence of a winner devoid of objections from his opponents

According to Ajipe, “After election comes with the task of governance, therefore I would like to urge you to see the pre-election verbal engagements and disagreements within the context of political campaigns and ensure that you carry your constituents along across political divides so that you could have a supportive constituency”.

“We must also appreciate our own talk and do governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the state party leaders led by Engr. Ade Adetimehin for their efforts to make sure our party win this election. Am in deed proud of you all”

“The victory our party recorded at the poll is a reflection of good work by our governor who has turns Akure to mega city with different projects.

Ajipe however advised Alade to build on the success of the governor in all areas and never let his people down
