ONDO ASSEMBLY CONGRATULATES ADEGBITE ON HIS EMERGENCE AS ONDO NUJ BOSS

The Ondo State House of Assembly has congratulated the entire Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ondo State Council on the emergence of news leadership under the Chairmanship of Comrade Leke Adegbite.

In a Press Release signed by the House Spokesman, Akogun Olugbenga Omole, the Speaker, Rt Hon. Oleyelogun Bamidele David commends the media professionals for also electing new officers to pilot their affairs.

Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun notes with satisfaction robust relationship between the State Assembly and Ondo NUJ in recent past, urging the new Executives of the Union to sustain the smooth partnership for greater Sunshine State.

The statement reads, “I have no doubt that Comrade Adegbite as a former State Secretary of the Union, will bring his wealth of experience to the table in conducting the affairs of the Pen Profession. We shall be ready to support the union in anyway that we should foster our relationship; Congratulations.

While wishing the NUJ leadership a successful tenure, the Speaker pledges the readiness of the State Lawmakers to support the new Executives.

MIMIKO CONGRATULATES NEW ONDO NUJ EXCOS, TASKS UNION ON PRESS ETHICS

Dr Olusegun Mimiko, former governor of Ondo state, has urged the newly sworn-in executive of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Ondo state to uphold professional ethics and standard.

Mimiko, in a congratulatory message by John Paul Akinduro, his Special Assistant on Media and Digital Communications, said “the Nigerian media as the fourth estate of the realm has a responsibility to hold our leaders and institutions accountable”.

Mimiko, who congratulated Ondo NUJ for a hitch-free election and seamless transition, said the new officers are coming at a critical time in the nation’s history and must be truthful, fair and accurate in their daily reportage.

According to him, “I urge you to shun yellow journalism and fake news but share knowledge that adequately informs the people so as to spark healthy debate, especially as the 2023 general elections draw near”

The new excos is led by Prince Leke Adegbite of Radio Nigeria in Akure.

AAUA: CONGRATULATIONS TO Ondo NUJ

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, wishes to congratulate the newly-elected Members of Executive of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, on their emergence at the just-concluded election of the Council.

No doubt, your emergence is not unconnected with your antecedents within the Fourth Estate of the realm.

As a University, we are confident that the new Members of Executive, under the Chairmanship of Prince Leke Adegbite, would justify the confidence reposed in them by their colleagues by providing enviable and purposeful leadership and services to the Union and the people of Ondo State.

NUJ OSRC chapel congratulatory message

The Osrc chapel of the Nigerian union of journalists in ondo state has felicitated the union on the inauguration of Mr Leke Adegbite as chairman of the state council

The congratulatory message is contained in a statement by the chairman of the chapel,Mrs Odunayo Sawyerr .

Mrs Sawyerr urged and other executive members to forge greater unity in the union, and engage in productive dialogue to resolve issues inimical to the progress of the union

The Nuj Osrc chapel chairman noted that the new helmsman had demonstrated leadership capacity that made it possible for him to win the trust, support and confidence of his colleagues.

She assured the new executive of the Nuj Osrc’s chapel support to move the union forward while expressing confidence that Mr Adegbite and his team would lead the NUJ to enviable heights and leave a legacy that would be difficult to ignore after they had served out their term.
