OWO ATTACK: APC CHIEFTAIN ‘MAJOR DEE’ LOSES FAMILY MEMBERS, DEMANDS SECURITY ACTIONS

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Akure South local government area of Ondo State, Hon Ayodeji Steve Adewole, has expressed sadness over the horrific level of killings and injuring of many worshippers during Sunday’s attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo.

In a condolence message to the people of Owo, the Olowo and Government of Ondo State, Adewole popularly known as “Major Dee”, whose mother is from Owo town, explained how he lost two of his mum’s family members in the tragedy.

The APC House of Assembly Aspirant who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Major Dee Motors, condemned the attack on the worshipers by some gunmen, describing same as callous, unbelievable and barbaric.

He urged Government at all level and security agencies to ensure timely arrest and bringing to justice of the perpetrators of the dastardly act.

While expressing his deep condolences to Owo Kingdom and Ondo State, Hon Adewole encourages Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the Amotekun Corps not to be deterred in the task of protecting the state and citizenry from external aggression.

He prays God to comfort the families of victims and grant the injured quick recovery.
