2023: Tinubu’s triumph good Omen for Nigeria —Akure Reps candidate, Adesida

WITH ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU’S NOMINATION AS APC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, HOPE OF A UNITED NIGERIA HAS BEEN REKINDLED

I heartily congratulate Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential candidate of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the just concluded shadow election.

Asiwaju’s victory is a lesson in tenacious pursuit of one’s dreams. He fought for the victory. So, it is well-deserved.

I also congratulate our party on the success of the nomination process. The democratic ethos that characterised the process will surely strengthen our unity and give us more energy to battle our opponents in next year’s general elections.

The candidature of Asiwaju is a good omen for the unity and progress of our dear country, Nigeria. Therefore, I commend the northern governors elected on the APC platform for their true sense of patriotism and nationalism.

Their iron stance that the position of the president of the country should shift to the South has rekindled the hope of a better and united Nigeria.

It is my belief that every genuinely patriotic Nigerian must be conscious of the plurality of our dear country and the need for wisdom and sacrifice to manage it. For this, the northern governors will surely occupy an enviable place in history.

I also salute their southern counterparts led by the indefatigable governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for their steadfast and courageous fight for fairness and equity in the determination of where the next president of the country should come from.

Now that the contests for the APC tickets are over, I urge our members to realise that it is time for us to close ranks and work for the total victory of our party in the forthcoming elections.

Signed:

Prince Abiodun Derin Adesida
House of Representatives Candidate
Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency
