Reps Bye-election: Akoko Northwest monarchs play host to APC Aspirant, Dr. Muyiwa Olusa

THE COUNCIL OF OBAS IN AKOKO NORTH WEST PLAYED HOST TO THE DELEGATION OF DR. MUYIWA OLUSA

…As he seeks a more dynamic approach to be victorious at the coming election with the support of the Royal fathers.

Dr. Muyiwa Olusa seeks to occupy the seat of the Representative of the Akoko North East and North West Federal Constituency in the bye-election of Akoko North scheduled to hold later this year.

The aspirant and his team embarked on campaign visit to the Akoko North West Council of Obas during their monthly meeting (PELUPELU) which was held at the Akala of Ikaram’s Palace.

The meeting was chaired by Akala of Ikaram, HRM Oba Momodu and it was well-attended by the Royal fathers across Akoko North West, as a tradition, the aspirant asked for the blessing and support of the throne and familiarized them with his 13-point agenda.

Dr. Muyiwa Olusa who reiterated how the advancement of Akoko can be actualized with simplicity, reminded the Royal fathers about how Akoko used to be a thriving commercial nerve centre in the old Western region before its progress ebbed.

He noted that his intention is to put Akoko right where it deserves to be through human and capital development.


The aspirant who is passionate about information technology (IT) enumerated plans to accommodate and develop 100 Tech gurus as that will bring digital literacy and development to Akoko and also reduce youth unemployment.

Dr. Olusa also highlights plans to provide agricultural supports for farmers, facilitate jobs, improve healthcare accessibilities to the elders and equally legislate effectively at the green chamber if given an opportunity.

Dr. Muyiwa Olusa who is known to have a basic education in Ikaram, highlights plans to revamp education and train the teachers with modern techniques and up to dates equipment so they can be updated with world best practices.

The Chairman of the meeting, HRM Oba Momodu Osona, the Akala of Ikaram lauded how succinctly Dr. Muyiwa Olusa laid out his plans. He prayed for the aspirant and pledged his support for his political ambition.

The Elefifa of Ajowa Akoko, Oba Benson Adebiyi stated that their son if given the chance will fast-track the development Akoko. He noted that the aspirant’s superior education will come in handy when he gets to the Green Chamber.

The other Royal fathers present concurred that Dr. Muyiwa Olusa is the most competent candidate in the race to uplift Akoko and steer it in the right direction complimenting the successes already recorded by the immediate past legislator Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

Collectively the Oba’s endorsed the candidature of Dr. Muyiwa Olusa and demanded a feedback mechanism in the progressive steps the aspirant plans to take for the advancement of Akoko land at large.

Dr. Muyiwa Olusa a successful legislative barrister and business technocrat was filled with delight and warmth from the love he enjoyed with the Royal Father’s and expressed contentment for the support of his aspirations from the Council of North West Obas.

He re-emphasized his commitment to making the development of Akoko and Akoko North Federal Constituency a greater priority and task in all level of leadership, legislation and legislative duties.

Dr. Muyiwa Olusa is an experienced politician who sees the development of Akoko Federal Constituency as a work in progress and feels the need to contribute his quota to the development at large.

To this end, he is taking his campaign to the nooks and crannies of Akoko land and optimally to maximize his plans and manifesto for a future and more developed Akoko North, as his blueprint have been met with warm welcome.

The bye-election comes up soon and there are indications that Dr. Muyiwa Olusa will be given the opportunity he needs to transform Akoko North Federal Constituency.
