Stop Causing Crisis in APC, Ologbese warns 6 Ondo Reps Members

The All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftain in Ondo State, Otunba Dele Ologbese has warned the six House of Representatives members in the State to desist from fanning embers of discord, vendetta and disunity in the party through their frivolous letter to Mr President on the state of affairs in the party.

Ologbese admonished the disgruntled members to demonstrate absolute loyalty, good character, consistency and also eschew bitterness in pursuits of their legislative responsibilities rather than trading in deceits, self righteousness and unwitting propagandas which can affect party’s chances negatively in November’s general election.

The Coordinator of Advocacy for Good Governance stated this in a statement issued in Akure, Ondo State Capital, on Monday.

The six All Progressives Congress’ House of Representatives members, representing Ondo State comprises of Hon Adesida Abiodun, Akure North/South; Hon Timehin Adelegbe, Owo/Ose; Hon Festus Ayodele, Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo; Hon Ojogo Kimikanboh, Ilaje/Ese-Odo; Hon Odimayo John, Okitipupa/Irele; and Adegboyega Adefarati, Akoko South West/Akoko South East Federal Constituencies had in a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, claimed that they had written to President Bola Tinubu, to complain that Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa was segregating against loyalists of the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Ologbese added that APC was more united than ever under the able leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who brought dynamism into state’s administration through execution of peoples oriented programmes and for uniting his party, APC by interfacing with its teeming stakeholders and their leaders at state, local governments and units, and equally provides them with incentives.

According to the Oka-Akoko born grassroots politician, he said, “It’s highly disheartening that the six parliamenrians have exposed themselves as political imbeciles fanning embers of bitterness, vendetta, and disunity in the party.

“By this dastardly act, they’ve not only become fugitives in their respective enclaves, they’ve been heavily disconnected from their respective constituents, adding that precious time, energies and resources they wasted in frivolities could have been utilized in impacting lives of some people jn their constituencies.

“Apart from Mr Governor’s transformational programmes which had impacted state’s socioeconomic and political activities positively in less than three months in office, he has as well gone far in unifying his party, APC in readiness for general election in November 2024.

“Being the state leader, he has interfaced with party stakeholders, including their core leaders, a few weeks ago, which showed he’s an exceptional leader to be entrusted with governance in 2025.

“About three weeks ago, Mr. Governor convocates interactive sessions with APC stakeholders at the Dome where challenges of the party were promptly addressed.

“This is the first time in the State’s history that a sitting governor will interact with such a huge gathering where he briefed them all over what transpired at the party and he provides them with incentives in enhancing their welfares, which alludes to his caring hearted posture and exemplary leadership traits”

Speaking further, he said, ” If you read their letter to Mr President carefully, you will see it’s hugely misplaced and had sinister proclivity inasmuch as each of the legislator already pitches tent with a particular candidate.

“Sincerely speaking, their primary mission was to spoil Governor Ayedatiwa’s chances of winning the April 2024 primary, realizing that their candidates had already lost out of race owing to Ayedatiwa’s rising profile.

” I’m so confident, Mr. President Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, who understands their shenanigans or dirty politics, will quickly despatch their frivolous petition into dustbin.

“No amount of mudslinging or devilish propaganda can tarnish the good image Ayedatiwa had built in his flourishing political career.

“He had suffered too much persecutions, humiliations, intimidations or harassments in the hands of certain political vultures in the past and now that he’s Governor, he’s fully in charge of the state’s affairs and he will no longer be distracted nor succumb to mischief makers bent on bringing his good image into disrepute before Mr President and all those who cherish his good deeds for no just cause.

According to Ologbese, “Politics is a game of interests. The six federal legislators should be bold enough to tell the people where their respective interests lie rather than trying to point accusing fingers on innocent person who had been doing the bidding of the good people of the state.

“I challenge the six legislators to point to any of the newly political appointees who’s not eminently qualified or who among them is sworn enemy of Aketi if not them and others who abandoned him when he was seriously ill.

“I admonish them to concentrate on how to deliver democratic dividends to their respective constituents rather than dancing naked in the open market,” he said.
