Your Excellency Sir,

APPEAL FOR BACKING OF GOVERNOR LUCKY AYEDATIWA AS APC FLAGBEARER IN ONDO STATE

With utmost humility and great respect, I write to convey my warmest greetings and also express immense gratitude for Your Excellency’s invaluable roles in bequeathing ethos of efficiency, transparency, fair play and justice on the party which explains why APC is adjudged as best, most cohesive and largest political party in Africa.

I salute your examplanerary leadership styles aptly deployed towards addressing recent constitutional logjam in Ondo State, culminating in restoration of peace and order in the party and polity. Your Excellency will go down in history for this unprecedented act.

Mr Chairman Sir, now that peace had finally returned to our party after a few months of intense horse trading, mudslinging and constitutional breaches ignited by certain political actors which nearly affected our nascent democratic experiment negatively, the National Working Committee with full endorsement of the Presidency should waste no time in backing up a credible candidate with vast experience and good credentials as party’s flagbearer not minding its earlier position not to offer automatic ticket to any candidate.

After President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and your esteemed self resolved the constitutional crisis in Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in his usual characteristic manner wasted no time in repositioning the party through convocation of a stakeholders submit in Akure where all leaders and members across eighteen Local Governments in the State were reasonably dialogued with, pacified and were tasked to work in unison for the oververall interests of the party.

It’s indisputable that Governor Aiyedatiwa as party’s leader in the state is rallying point of teeming ardent party’s men and women including artisans, farmers, drivers, professionals, market men and women, industrialists, traditional and religious leaders and other stakeholders from grassroots who openly endorsed and supported his candidature being the most trusted with whilewhither and capability to succeed himself in the next dispensation.

In a nutshell, owing to monumental projects executed by Governor Aiyedatiwa across three Senatorial Districts of the state which would transform their areas positively, I have no doubt in my mind that greatest numbers of voters who are satified with his extraordinary performance in less than three months in office are willing to queue behind him in next general election after he secures party’s ticket in April 2024 Primary election.

In order for our party to win convincingly in November general election, it’s advisable for National Working Committee and Ondo State APC to give unwavering support to Governor Aiyedatiwa being genuinely a thoroughbred technocrat, businessman, former NDDC Commissioner, former Deputy Governor, former Acting Governor and presently a sitting Governor.

I seize this auspicious opportunity to plead with Your Excellency and National Working Committee’s members not to be swayed by innuendos, vicious propagandas of a few frustrated politicians including fifth columnists in Ondo State who have chosen to engage in campaigns of calumny and hate against Governor Aiyedatiwa owing to his rising profiles accentuated by his pedigrees and acceptability by vast majority of people.

I shall be most grateful if this request receives your positive considerations.

Kindly accept the assurance of my highest regards always.

Sincerely,

Otunba Dele Ologbese,
(APC Chieftain, WARD 8, Akoko South West Local Government, Ondo State)
