The Ondo State Waste Management Authority, has called for a request of an Expression of Interest (E.O.I) from passionate and competent individuals/business concerns to join the train of domestic/municipal solid waste collection in Akure metropolis under a Franchise system.
In an advertisement notice, the Authority said the decision is in line with the objectives of creating it.
“CALL TO PARTICIPATE IN DOMESTIC (MUNICIPAL) WASTE COLLECTION IN AKURE METROPOLIS, ONDO STATE, NIGERIA: The Ondo State Waste Management Authority since its creation in 1999 has constantly been reviewing and re-engineering its operations, processes and systems in order to ensure and continually sustain better performance and quality waste management service delivery to the good people of Ondo State.
“In line with this objective and in conformity with the global standards and best practice, in 2013, the involvement of Private Sector Participation (PSP) in solid waste collection within the State (in Akure metropolis) was successfully carried out. Ten (10) years down the lane, there is the need for our Agency to rejuvenate and take the programme to the next level in the State.”
