Ondo APC primary: Former MHA, Hon. Tomide Akinribido lauds Aiyedatiwa’s emergence

A primary election is an internal family affair between members of the same political party, hence there is no victor nor vanquished in this contest. I therefore appeal to the teeming members of Ondo state APC, to avoid letting the outcome of the Governorship primary election degenerate into name calling and bad blood.

I use this medium to salute the courage of all the contestants in the just-concluded Ondo state APC Governorship primary election, their participation has no doubt enriched our polity and improved the vibrancy of our party, the APC.

I also congratulate the flagbearer of our party in the November 16th gubernatorial election, our own performing Governor, H.E Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

No doubt, Mr Governor remains the most strategically positioned and eminently capable to steer the ship of our sunshine state at this material time, and this much has been validated by majority of members of the party in the Saturday election. I am certain that the generality of Ondo state electorates will also revalidate this on the November 16th gubernatorial Election Day.

As we take a break from the core politicking leading to the primary election,i urge all co-aspirants and members of our party not to distract Governor Aiyedatiwa, but to support him in the onerous task of state-building.

Hon. Tomide Leonard Akinribido
Member,Ondo State Ninth Assembly
