A Community Leader in Ogbagi Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government, Ondo State Chief Isaac Olarewaju Bolarinde has denied the insinuation that he disowned his son, Bolarinde Adedotun Emmanuel for violating the culture and tradition of the town.
Bolarinde, in a statement, said at no time did he swear an affidavit to disown his precious son who is one of the leading lights in the community.
The septuagenarian community leader described as the handiwork of mischief makers the news on social media that he has disowned his son for alleged homosexuality.
Bolarinde from the Ioso quarter of the community was quoted to have said it is a sacrilege for any male child to engage in homosexuality as his son has done.
He said the action of his son had brought reproach to the family.
But the community leader said at no time did he deny his son neither was he contemplating such a decision as his son is a devout Christian who abhors any act that may bring reproach to the name of the family, church, or the community
Similarly, Adedotun said he has never committed any offence that would have made his father disown him.
He described it as a lie from the pit of hell that he has engaged in homosexual acts. “As a child brought up in a Christian home, such thought has not occurred to him.”
