Ondo Rep, Akingbaso ‘Fessywest’ inspects damaged Bridge at Idanre/Ifedore, promises solution

Respites will soon come to the dwellers of the Oloruntedo/Irorun community, a residential area at Opasorun in Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, as Hon. Festus Akingbaso, Member of House of Representatives, representing the Constituency at the National Assembly, visited the area on Saturday, March 2, 2024 with some of his Aides, with the aim of fixing collapsed bridge and road.

The visitation stemmed from the numerous distress calls made by the leadership of the community to the MHR, fondly call FessyWest by his teeming constituents.

The community sought his help for the construction of the bridge and the drainage to ease their pains and prevent the perennial flooding of their community.

The bridge is a necessity due to its strategic location as a nodal and gateway to various agrarian communities in the Federal Constituency.

One of the community leaders, Mr. Vincent Olumagba known also as ‘Young Millionaire’ stressed that their plea to the Federal Lawmaker is due to their strong belief that he won’t turn down their passionate plea because he is a compassionate man.

The Federal lawmaker with his aides assessed the affected bridge and promised that works to overhaul, construct drainage and deflood the area shall commence soonest because of its proneness to river and marshy adjoining surroundings, more so that another rainy season is in the offing.

The dwellers came in their dozens to show appreciation to the people’s lawmaker for having the interest of the constituents at heart and prayed for divine guidance as he continues to add value to the lives of the constituents.

Before he departed the community, Fessywest urged them to be law abiding and peaceful in their activities as he promised to fulfill promises made to them, as well as other communities.
