CALL TO PARTICIPATE IN DOMESTIC (MUNICIPAL) WASTE COLLECTION
IN AKURE METROPOLIS, ONDO STATE, NIGERIA
1.0 Introduction : An expression of interest was made on 13th of March ,2024 for the engagement of Private Sector Participants in waste collection services in Akure metropolis and the exercise recorded huge success with additional Fifteen (15) PSPs the joining the existing fleet of the waste collection operations.
However, a window opportunity is open for interested Investors to still partner with the Authority specifically in the following areas/locations: Ijoka/Abusoro community, Igoba communities, Olufoam/Seebi/ Omoniyi Estate communities, Kajola/Oda road area community, Afunbiowo 4th Gate Estate/Adofure communities and Shagari village community.
This advert is a call for any individual investor to still partner or participate in waste management business.
2.0 Eligibility Criteria: In order to be considered in this offer, the following eligibility criteria are expected to be met by interested person/business concern:
(i) must have a business registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) (either as an enterprise with business name) or liability Company;
(ii) must (or propose to have upon engagement) a physical office address within Akure metropolis,
Can or show demonstrable evidence of waste collection capacity through confirmed ownership of specifically designed and dedicated waste collection truck (side-loading truck or Compactor) for each operational zone that is on offer; and
3.0 How to apply: Interested person(s) or business concern(s) should:
Visit the Ondo State Waste Management Authority (OSWMA) Head office at Alagbaka Quarter, Akure in any of the working days from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00 am – 4:00 pm to collect a payment advice in order to pay a non-refundable sum/fee of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) Only. The payment can be made in any of the Banks in Ondo State;
After the payment, to bring a duplicate of the payment teller to the OSWMA in order to collect an intent form;
After filling and submission of the intent form, all due verifications/assessment shall be conducted by OSWMA not later than 10 working days of submission;
All qualified and shortlisted Companies shall be contacted and invited for an interview at Ondo State Waste Management Office Complex. Upon successful verification/assessment and pre-qualification, the interested individual/business concern shall be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Twenty Five Thousand Naira (N25,000.00) only, that is, for each operational zone to be allocated, not later than 5-working days of collection of payment advice from OSWMA;
