DR OLAYEMI ADEYEMI, SPECIAL ADVISER TO ONDO STATE GOVERNOR ON ENVIRONMENT, CONGRATULATES FEMI ADEKANMBI ON APPOINTMENT AS HYPREP PROJECT COORDINATOR
Dr Olayemi Adeyemi, Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor On Environment has Congratulated Dr Femi Adekanmbi on his Appointment as HYPREP Project Coordinator, by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
Dr. Adekanmbi is a former Commissioner for Special Duties, Culture and Tourism in Ondo State, and a member of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES).
In a Press Statement, Dr Adeyemi described the appointment of the APC Frontline Chieftain in Ondo State, as the Head of HYPREP, as well-deserved and a round peg in a round hole, appreciating President Tinubu for considering Dr Adekanmbi on merit for the task.
“I have no doubt that with Dr Adekanmbi’s wealth of experience, competence and professional prowess, he will deliver efficiently and effectively on the assignment.
Dr Adeyemi, who is also a former Ondo State lawmaker, said the Ondo State Environmental Protection Agency (OSEPA) would be ready to work with HYPREP under Dr Adekanmbi especially as it concerns riverine areas of Ondo State.
The Governor’s SA implored Dr Adekanmbi that HYPREP should look beyond the Ogoni Land, although that has been the primary focus of the Project. “The oil-rich coastal areas of Ondo State too are highly impacted by Hydrocarbon pollution and would require remediation.”
“Once more, I wish you a successful tenure,” Dr Adeyemi prayed.
